Ladghar is yet another beautiful place around Dapoli. Famous for it's breathtaking scenery which would definitely refresh your mind. Ladghar is quite undeveloped, and has an untouched feel.
Ladghar has one of the finest sunset. It will be the memorable experience to see the beach, sea and the horizon getting turned into numerous shades of red color. You can also take a Boat Ride to watch Dolphins in the sea from here.
Ladghar beach is also known as तामस तिर्थ (Tamas Teertha). This is because some part of the sea here appears to be red in color. This beach has religious value; and taking a bath here is a big attraction. It's a great spot for swimming, either in the sea or in the adjacent river. This beach is covered with colored pebbles and all different kind of shells. Children will love these collectibles. This also is a perfect piece of coastline for strenuous walk.
Ladghar has two very beautiful and ancient temples - One of Lord Shiva known as वेळेश्वर (Weleshwar) and other of Lord Datta situated on a small hill. You can take a 15 min beach walk on the north side to reach this beautiful Datta temple.
Ladghar is around 10km away from Dapoli city. State Transport, Shared Jeeps, Rikshaws run between Dapoli and Ladghar. From Dapoli ST depot come straight towards road to Burondi. At Burondi Phata [from Police Naka] take the Left Turn towards Ladghar [Other road goes straight toward Karde, Anjarle and Kelshi].
